A couple weeks ago I was trying to unlock an old account because I had forgotten the password and the secret question was "What was your dream as a kid?".
I tried several stuff and it seems the correct answer was something in the lines of "Comic artist" so I felt really bad for stopping drawing and I have been trying to muster courage to start again. Also I hope it could improve both my mood and social skills, since I made a test online and those were 0%. And I totally need those IRL.
We love your comics, keep on doing them and keep in mind that you have a fanbase you can rely on

I even managed to get some friends during my stay in the UK when I went there alone, just gonna muster some courage and start conversations with ppl you meet at work, in the gym, swimming pool etc.

ReplyDeleteLendo, let me tell you something. You know, for the last years ive been reading your comics and all i can say is that they are the best LoL comics ive ever seen. Your kind of drawing is unique, you got some talent there. If you love drawing those kind of stuff, keep doing it, because im sure that one day you'll be a well-known comic artist. To be honest, i think that you are already one. I knew that it was a good idea to keep this page bookmarked. About your social struggles, you can always start making new relationships by talking to the people at work, studies, etc. If you feel kinda awkward to start a conversation out of nowhere, just ask some things related to work, then you can start by asking their name and so on. If your social struggles comes from a psicological problem, you can go to a psicologist and have a talk to see what's going on. Well, that's all i can say for now, Keep up the good work, thx for making my day with the new comic.◘

ReplyDeleteI mean you have to have at least a basic understanding of how to make people laugh when telling a quick short story via your comics which manage to lighten everyone's mood. I attest you at least 1% social skills for making me laugh this often with your art, trust me, I am a internet-phd

ReplyDeleteYou're already a full-fledged comic artist! You know you could commit to this strip full time and earn a comfortable living off it, right? Tales of Valoran isn't just some idle doodling, This is something you have obviously spent large chunks of your life mastering! Look at early panels from popular strips like penny arcade, looking for group, or even xkcd. There is no question that your quality is top notch.

ReplyDeleteI second people thinking you could make a living off of this. You have a pretty good audience already. Just get some regular updates going and let us get t-shirts with some of your drawings (cafepress, etc.). You already have quite an audience and your drawings are plenty good enough to be pro (waaay better than most early comics). Everyone loves your Raka! Or maybe Riot would hire you to do this... they've been looking for LOL comics recently....

I enjoy drawing comics also and I love reading tales of Caloran as riven is my absolute fav champ. I would love to draw LOL comics myself but I'm not a super funny writer Xd or an artist in any case. ReplyDeleteIn any case don't lose hope and keep at it, make the links and ask artists in similar situations for advice if you want to pursue this further, you have the talent, the fanbase, and the motivation, all you need is action.
I always enjoy these. There are many new champs that you could do, like a Thresh/Lucian or Vi/Jinx strip. And Riven and Soraka have seen some major patch changes recently. I think Soraka would love to show off how lovely her new Frost Queen's Claim is
